Check out some highlights from this wonderful reading of Ferncliff by Erin Merceruio and Nicholas Place. This piece will be premiered this coming Friday, October 21, in Boston. The concert--In Absentia--is the first of the Fifth Floor Collective's second season. If you're able to attend, we'd love to see you there! Full details on the concert can be found here.

Come see the premiere of this piece (along with some stellar works by Andrew Paul Jackson, Joseph Colombo, and Matt Barnson) on Friday, October 21 in Boston. Admission is free! Full details are at www.fifthfloorcollective.com. Ferncliff is an arrangement of an excerpt of a larger piece for choir and orchestra titled GIFT.

New commission from Trinity Chapel Music

Added on by Patrick Greene.

I recently received some wonderful news: John Rose, Director of Chapel Music and the Trinity College Choir at Trinity College, has commissioned me to compose a major piece for performance late in 2011.

The work will be for choir and orchestra, and will (hopefully) be a setting of the poetry of Hugh Ogden, a hugely influential Trinity professor of mine who passed away in 2008.

There will be much more information on the piece as it progresses in the following months. At the moment, I'm slowly making my way through a few other commissions from 2010.

Here's to a 2011 filled with music!
